WebTech U Classes.

These are the classes that we currently have available for you. You will find a short description of each one. We offer classes for beginners all the way to the more advanced user. The next class starts on June 1st, 2012

CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS

HTML 101

In this class you will learn the basic html knowledge needed in order to get your home page started and on its way to looking and working great! This lesson includes learning HTML tags and layout, text effects, different fonts (including color & size), setting up links to other pages or sites, backgrounds, and images ~ including much much more. If you do not have a web site already then you can choose from the short list below of free homesite providers. This is by no means all there are, you can search for free web hosting here - http://www.freewebspace.net/ - however many free hosts only use templates and don't allow working with HTML files so be careful when picking a free host. When signing up as a new user always choose the HTML option, not a Site Builder option.

PSP 101
Versions 7, 8, 9, X-X3

These classes teach how to use the basic tools of the Paint Shop Pro program. You will also be learning how to make graphics like banners, and buttons. We also cover making different effects with text and creating bordered backgrounds for web pages! Learn more or Register now!

Paint Shop Pro 5 and Paint Shop Pro 6 - we do not have classes for these versions but you can go through a set of tutorials starting here - Paint Shop Pro 5 Tutorials - Paint Shop Pro 6 Tutorials. These tutorials run through the same content as the PSP101 and PSP201 classes.

*NOTE* These classes have the same lesson content. You need to take the class that matches the PSP version you currently have due to differences in the tools and menus.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

HTML201 - Tables

Learn how to neatly and professionally organize the content on your web page by using tables! You will learn the basic table tags and how to use them as well as the more advanced techniques. Learn more or Register now!

HTML201 - Forms

Would you like to be able to get specific feedback from your visitors and have it automatically sent to your email address? You can learn how to make that possible with our forms class! We cover how to create radio buttons, text boxes, and drop down menu selectable data. All is customizable for your very own form. NOTE: To participate in this class you MUST register with Bravenet as the lesson uses the Email Form service provided by Bravenet for their members. (However the basics learnt in this class apply to forms anywhere and the Bravenet email form service can be used on any web site). Learn more or Register now!

PSP201
Versions 7, 8, 9, X-X3

This class is a follow on from the PSP101 Paint Shop Pro class. It looks deeper into the various tools. You will need plenty of spare time during the 2 weeks that this course runs over. Learn more or Register now!

ADVANCED CLASSES

HTML301

This class will teach you the use of Lists, we work more with Tables, and look at Doctype Declarations, Meta Tags, Validating your HTML, and Accessibility issues. You must have a good understanding of basic HTML and basic Tables. Learn more or Register now!

Introduction to Cascading Style Sheets - CSS

WebTech University's "Introduction to Cascading Style Sheets" course builds on your knowledge of creating web pages with HTML. In this class you will learn completely new concepts of content presentation, and a new way of thinking about how to go about creating your web pages. As a pre-requisite to this course you must be capable, and comfortable, of creating web pages by hand coding the HTML. This class does not teach any HTML. Learn more or Register now!
